A Musical Afternoon at The Manor

On the 25th June, we are hosting A Musical Afternoon at Chambercombe Manor. Featuring singer / songwriter Jenna Witts and other fantastic artists.

Admission is just £1.00 and Ye Olde Manor Buttery will be open serving cream teas, Pimms and tea, coffee and soft drinks.

Alongside Jenna, you will also be able to listen to Ian Hudson, Dave Smith and sea shanty group, Anchors Away.

At the age of twenty-two, singer-songwriter Jenna Witts already has a wealth of recording and touring experience behind her. Jenna was "discovered" by Steve Knightley (Show of Hands) and has joined him on 5 nation-wide tours and performed at 'Show Of Hands' sell out concert at The Royal Albert Hall. Jenna has also toured with Mercury prize nominee Seth Lakeman .

Her startlingly mature voice, now warmly huskier around the edges, is heard to full affect in her second album - the diverse 12-track acoustic album Brother. The title track 'BROTHER' has recently had airplay on Aled Jones Sunday morning show and Bob Harris' Saturday night Show on Radio 2 and has regular airplay on Radio Caroline among others. A free spirit with an effortless natural talent, Jenna has been writing songs since she was 12 and is an accomplished keyboards player and acoustic guitarist. Jenna's first album 'Barefoot and Eager' attracted a string of accolades and airplay and was named one of the Financial Times Top 10 world albums of 2007.

Jenna has recently appeared twice on BBC SPOTLIGHT performing some festive songs! Jenna has supported and performed alongside a number of well-known musicians including The Fisherman's Friends, Newton Faulkner, The Noisettes, Nerina Pallot, Martyn Joseph, Phil Beer, Martin Simpson, Boo Hewerdine and Amy Wadge among others.

As played on BBC Radio 2 Bob Harris Show and Radio 2 Aled Jones Sunday Morning show, BBC Radios Devon, Cornwall, WM, Solent, Nottingham, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Wiltshire and Bristol.
